This car is a blast!

"Compared to the 300hp Mustang GTs and 500hp Shelby GT500s, the specs of a '90 Thunderbird Super Coupe seem pretty tame. Back in the day, however, the supercharged 3.8L was a pretty heavy hitter. Though down on displacement, the 3.8 thumped out nearly as much power as the 5.0L Mustang (210 hp versus 225 hp), and torque production was equally impressive, with the supercharger helping to up the twist to a V-8-like 315 lb-ft of torque. The impressive torque curve is why the Super Coupes offered such impressive acceleration. With a peak power output that occurred at just 4,000 rpm and torque peak some 1,000 rpm earlier, these motors offered diesel-like torque curves." -Motortrend article

Current odometer shows 15,500, was replaced in 1992 at 36,207. Have official documentation as well as certified sticker on driver’s door jamb.

Summary: My late father purchased his "Red Bird" in March 1991 with 21K miles from a Ford dealership.  I changed oil (Mobil 1 Synthetic) & filter, air filter, wipers, and checked all belts. Took it on 600-mile round trip from VA to NJ in May 2022, it ran like a champ and is a great cruiser at freeway speeds.

The good:
--No rust, clean, garage-kept since 1991, never driven in winter.
--The adjustable suspension functions as designed.
--Interior is a 9+/10. Only minor wear on driver’s seat bolster.
--AC converted to R-134 in 2013. Blows cool, but not cold
--Have purchase order and service receipts.

The age-appropriate features:
--Tires are 1998 vintage. However, they hold air and performed well on my recent trip.
--OEM rims were chromed in 1991, some peeling on inner edges
--Front spoiler has minor chips and peeling and there are rock chips on the hood’s leading edge (previously touched up)
--Radio has power; but will not tune in a station, play a cassette tape, or CD.

Delivery on open trailer possible within a reasonable distance on the East Coast for reimbursement of gasoline costs.
