2021 Bonneville Speedweek - the salt gods decide!

Hello! We are just back from a fantastic week and a half on the salt for the 2021 Bonneville Speedweek! Between 80 mph microbursts of wind, smoke blowing in heavily from the Dixie Fire, visibilty as low as 1/4 mile, tarantulas, and a density altitude that was tough to get a bead on........we had excellent salt conditions (but maybe not so much for 200+ mph motorcycles) and a most excellent time!

My British Motorcycle Association of Colorado (BMAC) racing team came home with 9 land speed records and two of those went to rookies! Mine was one of those records (my 3rd LRS), posting a 44.303 mph LSR on an open record while riding Tim Noreen's beautiful 1962 Honda C110 Supersport 50cc. Scott got 5 runs in on the Sherminator (1971 Honda CL125), topping out at 55 mph (he did 60 mph last fall at World Finals) but Sherm wasn't too happy and after I ran a dismal 48 mph after changing jets, we put Sherm on the hitch and promised him a makeover when we get home. I hope to update this post with more details later but for now, I have work to do!
